About Linda

I have a Bachelors Degree in Education from Cambridge University, England, and a Masters in Voice and Communication from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, plus a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.

I have been tutoring, teaching and homeschooling for 25+ years. My main subjects are in English, Drama and Music, (piano) but I am qualified to teach all grades 6-8. I have worked with ADHD students, University Students (speech and drama) and primary school children..

I homeschooled twins (boy and a girl) for 12 years) covering most subjects in the American and British educational curriculum. I recently returned from Taiwan where I worked for a VIP family homeschooling in all subjects at a primary level - using both Montessori and STEM teaching methodologies. .I have also supported many students in LA requiring homework support.

During the Summer vacation I return to the UK where I manage a School for 1,600+ International Students at Clifton College in Bristol UK. I have worked in schools both as a teacher and as a teacher trainer.

I am a great believer in working one on one with a student as I am able to design a curriculum around the students needs, and not force a standard education on a child. As a tutor I am also able to recognize cognitive problems in learning, and support a student in a personal and immediate way, that a classroom teacher sometimes cannot, due to class size.

It is my belief that the essential skills for any teacher is to help develop in their student a passion for learning, and the ability and tools to research and develop their own methodology of learning, and discover their personal subjects of interest.
