I have a degree (Bachelor of Science - Mathematics) from California Polytechnic State University of Pomona. I understand not everyone is an aspiring math major or enjoys it. My goal is to help individuals not only solve math problems but help them understand the concepts. I have years of experience tutoring children (of all ages) and adults attending college/universities. I specialized in tutoring individuals by simplifying math problems in a way that they are able to relate, resulting in confidence building and math skills. Over the years, I’ve learned that not every teacher is meant to teach. Some teachers tend to use their advanced levels of mathematics and apply it to their teaching instead of simplifying concepts in a way the student can understand. You or your student may not be struggling with mathematics but with the way it is being taught. Although, I have a great understanding of mathematics at an advanced level, I do not assume or tutor anyone as if they do until I become familiar with their math abilities and where they stand. As they always say, “You must crawl before you walk.”
