My name is Marisa and I am a college graduate with a BA in Psychology and Children and Youth Studies. I have worked with children for the past 6 years in all types of situations both academically and otherwise. I have a passion for teaching and helping students in any way I can. I can adapt to any child and meet their needs in any and all capacities.
One of the most important things i have learned from being a tutor is that tutoring is just as beneficial for me as it is for my student. I am not better than any student. During my sessions me and by students are equal, were a team. My tutoring sessions are no judgement zones with positive vibes and reinforcement only!
I do my absolute best for all my students, because were in this together. When my students succeed, I succeed. When they fail, I fail and then we try again!. As long as my students are putting in the work, so am I. Giving up is not an option!
