Hi! I'm Kim and I am a professional news anchor/ editor for one of the biggest Chinese based TV stations in Los Angeles. I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, so I am familiar with the challenges of learning a foreign language. I also understand the value of finding the right instructor.

The beginner's course focuses on learning the Mandarin/Cantonese phonetic system, reading and writing simplified/ traditional Chinese characters, as well as using Mandarin/ Cantonese to conduct simple conversations. Various projects and hands-on activities will allow students to explore Chinese culture, holidays, festivals, cooking, and calligraphy. After the course, students will be able to type, read and write basic Chinese with confidence.
