I'm Zara! I am currently an undergraduate student attending the University of California, Berkeley. My major is Legal Studies, however, I am experienced in a variety of subjects including advanced math, English, and more. I always appreciated teachers who went the extra mile to engage with their class and clarify the topics, especially as a student who loved to ask many questions during and after class. Due to this, my approach to tutoring is similar. I try to engage the students with the material they are learning and give helpful examples that can provide further clarification on otherwise confusing topics. My tutoring style can also vary based on students' individual needs, as not everyone learns the same way. I can tailor lesson plans to specific preferences, as well as provide both mentored and individual practice with the material.

I have a year's experience tutoring in a mathematics center, in which I worked with students learning from kindergarten-level math, all the way up to precalculus. I also have taken both AP Calculus AB and BC in high school, building on my foundation to teach others how to strengthen and apply their skills. I worked with elementary, middle, and high school students for years, assisting with their work in all subjects, including math, writing and comprehension skills, and SAT prep work.
