Frederick Douglas once wrote, “it is easier to build strong children than repair broken men.” I read that quote on the wall of a daycare my cousin was attending when I was in eighth grade and it stuck with and inspired me ever since. My story is not necessarily unique, but it should stand out because of the deep-seeded conviction I have for helping children succeed and the love I carry with me for teaching.
I graduated from Indiana University in 2017 and moved to Chicago to pursue acting. Before falling in love with acting, I was a Secondary Education Major in Physics and Mathematics and planned on becoming a High School Physics Teacher and Soccer Coach.
