Frustrated with a subject? No worries, because with my patience and dedication we can get through anything and more. During high school I assisted my math teacher for two years as her aid and would tutor any student that required extra time. If any of my peers had any trouble with their lessons, they knew they could go to me for help. As long as you give me the time and focus, I can provide you the attention that you ... See more
HI, my name is Jacqueline! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior and a Bachelor's of Arts in Classics - Latin. I realized in college the classes I enjoyed most were not always the most interesting ones, but rather it was the professors who made the classes unforgettable. They were always engaging, enthusiastic, and presented the material in a comprehensible way. It was the ones who went the extra mile and ... See more

I have full 6 years of experience tutoring all children and my top priority is making sure that all needs are being met! To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more
My first experience tutoring came while attending the University of Southern California in 2005. There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more
Stockton is home to the University of the Pacific, which is the oldest chartered university in the state of California. It has graduated many famous alumni, including jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, MLB super agent Scott Boras, astronaut Jose Hernandez, football coach Pete Carroll, actress Jamie Lee Curtis, and former NBA general manager and player Dell Demps. All of these successful alums who ran through Stockton are great, but one or their professors gets more attention, as this was the location of the university that employed Dr. Henry Jones, who went by the nickname Indiana. The archeologist went on many adventures that were the subject of a series of documentaries from Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.
The first of Dr. Jones’ adventures, where he battled Nazis in search of the Ark of the Covenant, was penned by Lawrence Kasdan, who had also worked with George Lucas on a series of space movies that have gained some fame. With English tutors in Stockton, you too can write stories like the adventures of Dr. Jones. Just try not to go off the rails with one about aliens in the Amazon because it might not track with audiences as well.
If you want to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Jones and become an archaeologist, we can help with that too. You will be dusting off artifacts in no time thanks to the help of one of our archaeology tutors. They will not be able to teach you lessons in boulder avoidance, but they can help you interpret meaning from historical pieces once you survive the rock chasing you.
With a Stockton English tutor, you will be able to write both fiction and nonfiction. I am pretty sure the story I told you is entirely nonfiction, but you can be sure that the benefits of HeyTutor are as real as a mall Santa. I am not sure about Kris Kringle, but I have definitely seen guys in Santa costumes at the mall before. We do not have Santa tutoring, but we definitely have etiquette tutors to teach Santas how to act among polite company.

When I was an English student, I had one project that I failed so badly that I still think of it to this day. I was assigned with a partner to memorize a scene from a Shakespeare play that we would perform the next day in front of the whole class. My partner was someone that I did not know well and I ended up doing him a disservice by not taking the assignment seriously enough. I did my best to learn the lines, but my studying abilities proved to fail me there, as I struggled through half of the scene before cutting off. We were given a grade so low, it could probably be called an H because F does not cut it and G does not either. I really could have used the help of a study skills tutor to improve my horrible habits.
