Hello, My name is Kameryn, I am a student at ASU's Ira Fullton School of Engineering. I was previously a math and science tutor at the Gateway Community College Learning Center. I enjoy working with students to find that "AH-HA" moment where their own hard work and thought process brings them to the solution. I believe that, to be a successful tutor, it is my job to aid in the discovery of the process, not the answer.
Throughout grade school and high school, I often helped my teachers instruct the online class and volunteered to help tutor many of my fellow classmates. I was always very thorough in explaining my thought process, all the mathematical steps, and mapping out every detail of the problem. My teachers knew they could always count on my help, and sometimes even asked me to take lead on instructing the class when they could not. I do not have a degree yet, ... See more

My first experience tutoring came while attending the University of Southern California in 2005. There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more
