My name is Cody Smeltz, I have a Bachelor's in English, and as a burgeoning tutor my goal is to teach students of all ages that education doesn't have to be a frustrating experience, but something to look forward to and accomplish with one's own ability, no matter your background. Everyone's capable of learning, and I wish to impart that belief upon everyone else, peers and students alike.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from CSULA and have years of experience with tutoring and education. I have extensive experience working with wide ranges of different age groups. I specialize in helping people find different study methods that can help them learn challenging material. I am excited to work with everyone and make education fun.

I took Psychology and child development in college and high school. I look forward and will be able to specialize in finding what works best for your child and or all students. I will also, over time, try and work on instilling good study/work habits in their young minds and hopefully shape them well enough because we are teaching the future.

I have 16 years experience working as a certificated teacher with LAUSD and LBUSD. I have worked grades 1st-9th, including Special Ed (grades 1-3). I love sport. And I have also worked as a Div. I and WNBA Basketball Official for over 18 years, having been selected to work 4-Final Fours. I am also in the Women's Hall of Fame

I have 5years of tutoring experience, I specialize in English and love to work with all ages. My favorite color is orange and pink but I love blue also. I have 2 older siblings so I treat everyone as family so seeing you succeed makes me happy. I know how hard school and tests can be so I will make it as easy as possible.

I love working with kids and watching them flourish and grasp concepts. Though I ended up specializing in writing with my master's degree, I have a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Toronto, which I rely on for anything math and science related.
