About Eugene

No teaching takes place without rapport -- humor the best ice breaker. I respect and enjoy getting to know my students.

I have fifteen plus years of experience, teaching English to high school and college students, in NYC, L.A., Florida, and Europe (Germany).

I have been tutoring one-on-one for the past ten years.

I specialize in working with high school students with ADD, Learning Differences, and Gifted.

I tutor and conduct classes in SAT, PSAT, ACT, and English GRE.

I am a Florida State Educator certified teacher, in English 6-12 (pending qualifying tests).

I am also an experienced Adult Education teacher, lifetime credential from California, and ESL Instructor with experience abroad.

I can help in all English Language Arts related studies, from composition, to creative writing and journalism.

I've also enjoyed a second career in USA and Europe, as a writer and creative producer, in print, film and TV, and my love for storytelling is as much a part of my identity, as is my pleasure in cultivating aspiring minds.

I use student-centered strategies in an Outcome-Based Education model.
