Hello prospective students!
My name is Robert and I am a professional academic historian and community educator, with experiencing in the fields of History, Political Science, Anthropology and Religious Studies. I also have previous tutoring experiencing as both an undergraduate and graduate student, helping my peers and underclassmen develop research topics and write their papers.
I have tutored students or taught courses on topics such as European History, 20th Century American History, African History, Middle Eastern History, the History of China since 1911, Cold War History, the History of Colonialism and Imperialism, Caribbean and African Diasporic Religions, Political Science Data Analysis, Archival Research Methods and many many other topics. Needless to say that I love history. It is my passion and I am willing to take on students of any level of understanding.
While I can certainly help you prepare for history tests, exams, quizzes and various other forms of in class work, my specialty is assisting students in coming up with finely tuned research topics and executing those topics in the writing of a concise and accurate paper (or presentation) with a solid and compelling argument that will be sure to get history professor's attention.
In a history course with anywhere from 10 to 100 students, catching the professor's attention is not easy as many of them read run-of-the-mill papers on the same topics over and over again. What I will help you do as your tutor is develop an interesting topic framed in a manner that will catch their attention and will assure that they give your paper the time of day. Let me know if you have any questions!
