I have been tutoring students (K-11) for 8 years. My 2 years spent as an instructor at a Mathnasium tutoring center have provided me with invaluable experience working with students of all ages and abilities. Prior to working for Mathnasium, I tutored students in reading and math on a volunteer basis for years. I am experienced and proficient in tutoring elementary and middle school math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.
I offer assessments for every level of math to determine which concepts a student has mastered and which concepts they need more practice with. These assessments allow me to create a learning plan catered to their specific needs. I am also happy to work with any materials provided by the student.
Math can sometimes feel daunting for students, but it is my belief that every student should and can feel confident in their mathematics ability. Students often need help mastering the foundational concepts of math that are often covered too quickly or explored in a singular way in the classroom. My goal as a tutor is to listen to and understand each individual student's needs to succeed in their math courses and provide them with the tools necessary to do so. I am here to help you build the skills and confidence you deserve.
