I am currently a high school science teacher teaching Chemistry, Forensics, and Environmental Science. I have a bachelors degree in geology and am working towards my masters in Secondary chemistry education.
My favorite part about being a teacher is helping someone develop an interest in something they never thought they would be interested in and helping someone realize they can do something they never thought they would be able to. I am skilled at discerning where exactly a student needs help and teaching to their individual learning style. I love hearing things like "Seriously?! This is so easy... How did I not know how to do this before?" and "I learned more today than in the whole year taking chemistry the first time".
I struggled with chemistry myself in high school... mostly because I wanted to be social more than I wanted to study... but I know how difficult it is to catch back up in chemistry class if you've fallen behind.
