I formerly taught special education for 10 years and hold a Master's in Education from the University of Washington. I am an experienced educator who has worked with special education students of all ages in all subjects. I am a patient and compassionate person who provides students an opportunity to engage in learning. Teaching reading is a particular passion of mine and I love to see students grow in their reading abilities. In my teaching career, I worked predominately with students who struggled with emotional and behavioral issues, developmental delays, and autism. I have taught students from 2nd grade through high school and am certified in grades K-12. Additionally, I am highly qualified in English and Math. My greatest delight in the classroom setting was seeing students exceed expectations. I look forward to meeting you and your student soon!
