My name is Candice and I was born an raised in Trinidad and Tobago, a small country in the Caribbean. Math is my favorite subject and I plan to help all my students become successful at Math by making it fun and exciting. Math is always more fun and rewarding when we make it a game when we as tutors show kids the relevance and we encourage our kids to practice, practice, practice. I am currently in the US Army, but prior to that I taught Middle School Math for 3 years and was also a tutor for a few years during and after my teaching career. I have a Bachelors degree in Finance and Real Estate from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Masters degree in Education from Virginia State University. There's a lot I loved about being a teacher. Teaching is one of those rare professions that keep your brain young, allowing you to continue your own journey as a student and a lifelong learner.
