I'm a circus performer...a plate spinner to be more exact. Plate spinning is like juggling, only better and more difficult because you have to move from plate to plate to keep it spinning at the top of the long pole. (Never seen a plate spinner? Take a look on the web. Its fun.) You have to know a little about a lot to keep the plates going and to keep an audience engaged.
Okay, I'm really not a circus performer or a plate spinner. I always wanted to be, though. What I am is a guy who loves to learn and to help others learn. I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little. My education is in Liberal Arts, History and Languages to be exact. I also have a Master's degree in theology and was a pastor and teacher for many years.
I've taught every age range from nursery school to older adults. My goal is to help YOU learn what you need to learn in a way that makes sense to you. Teaching and tutoring is personal. It is about communicating information and ideas, seeing issues and problems from different view points, and coming to understand a concept or know facts. Even more than that, my goal is to help you take whatever it is we are working and be able to pass it on to someone else. That may be helping someone else understand it or it may be passing a test.
The bottom line is...we all have lots of plates to keep spinning in life. My goal as your tutor is to help you know what you need to know and to do what you need to do to keep the plates going. And have some fun along the way. I look forward to learning and leading with you.
