I studied Spanish in Saltillo, Mexico while in high school and then spent my junior year in college at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. I graduated from the University of Texas in 1984 and completed my teacher certification at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. I taught in public schools for 31 years, teaching all levels of Spanish - beginning through AP. I worked as a consultant for several years with the College Board in one of the pre-AP programs as a trainer of teachers. Since retiring last year, I have enjoyed the flexibility of working as a tutor and a substitute teacher.
Speaking Spanish has certainly enriched my life and a I truly enjoy helping others in their journey to proficiency.
