About Carolyn

As a professional doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Intelligence & Analytics at Capella University, Carolyn French-Bowie researched the Integrated Mobile and Cloud Technology phenomenon in the Oil and Gas Big Data movement. Her research focused on how the industry embraces advanced analytical technology, given the shortages of skilled professionals. Her previous degrees are a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems and Master of Science in Business Intelligence, both from American Sentinel University.

She brings over 15 years of professional experience with specialties in I.S. experience in security & data governance auditing and software quality assurance. She works in the Integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse infrastructures (IEDW) to perform Business Intelligence solution deployment, to conduct data quality services. She has intensive experience with geospatial and location-aware systems. She currently works for Maryville University in the Data Science program. She was an assistant professor (MIS) at Wayland Baptist University, a visiting professor at Georgia Southern University, an online Adjunct for Bellevue University (GRAD), and SME Advisor for curriculum development (UND/GRAD) for Rasmussen College in Data Analytics/Data Science programs. She also served as an adjunct at Southern New Hampshire University in the Data Analytics program.

Carolyn French-Bowie is a Texas native who has served 20 years (combined) in United States Naval Service as a Yeoman Second Class and the Army Reserves as a Sergeant in the Technical Engineering Specialist field.
