I am a current computer science student at Carnegie Mellon. I love teaching and I work at Art of Problem Solving as a tutor. Math and physics are my strengths, and I have qualified for the USA Math Olympiad four times (top 20 students out of over 400,000 in the USA), and I have also qualified for the USA Physics Olympiad (top 400 students in the nation). I tutor several students privately and focus on teaching math in an intuitive way. My goal in tutoring is to ensure that all of my students understand how math works, and don't just view the subject as solving equations. My teaching philosophy for both math and physics involves students actively discovering key concepts and ideas on their own through guided questions. This approach ensures that the ideas they learn stick with them for years to come.
