My experience includes support for academic students as well as SAT or ACT test prep. My areas of expertise include the following: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, AP US History, AP Government and Politics, AP European History, AP Biology 1, AP Psychology, and Study Skills. I focus on not only helping students improve their grades, but also raising their confidence. I believe that all students have the ability to be successful learners when given the appropriate tools and guidance. Mentoring students has been my favorite part of being a teacher.
I am certified by the State of Texas to teach Special Education K-12, and Mathematics 4-8. I have experience working with students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and/or learning disabilities in math or reading. I have an M.Ed in Special Education and Educational Psychology, and a B.S. in Education Math 4-8.
