I hold a masters and doctorate in mathematics education along with a teacher certification in Math Grades 6-12. I have been in education for 19 years as a tutor, teacher, instructional coach and consultant. I’ve tutored small and large groups, individuals, and in home settings although I currently spend my most time tutoring and consulting online. I work with all levels including undergraduate and graduate students. I have been able to capture my students attention through real world application, making the learning relevant. In addition to mathematics and statistics, I tutor for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, ISEE, HSPT, SSAT, PSAT, and Teacher Certification Exams. I also write, edit, and proofread content for major textbook publishers and online platforms. Lastly, I have a lot of experience in research methods, thesis and dissertation editing, and statistical analysis.
I love tutoring because I am given the opportunity to help children and adults achieve their best and inspire them on a personal and academic level. It excites me to see how energetic a learner becomes as soon as they understand a topic they struggled with. The determination and enthusiasm that stirs within a child is heart-warming. I enjoy getting to know my learners and to learn about life from their perspective. It brings me such a sense of joy to gain insight into their views and opinions about life. I can confidently say that I have learned as much from my students as they have learned from me.
