Hi my name is Brenda Rios. I graduated cum laude with a associate’s degree in general sciences. Throughout high school and college I quickly learned that I had a passion for helping my classmates who were struggling to catch onto the subject. While teaching my classmates about the subject they were struggling in I realized that what helped them the most was that I’m a very hands on person and I was very engaging. While tutoring them I tried setting up examples and going the extra mile to help them as much as possible. Everyone has a different way of learning so I always try to figure out what made it easier for my classmates to learn. Whether it was examples, writing down notes, watching videos, etc. Although I wasn’t paid to tutor my classmates I enjoyed helping them succeed in their classes. I want to make a difference and help students who need that little extra help. Sometimes all it takes is making the subject enjoyable. I would love to be that helping hand!
