I believe that anyone can learn and understand math. Those problems that appear complicated are just a series of simple concepts woven together. I deconstruct the problem for students so they can understand the simple problems woven in to what "appears" to be a complicated problem. Typically, if math is complicated it's because the method of instruction is complicated. There is a way to teach math that is simplistic and easy to comprehend and by utilizing a simplistic instructional style, my students understand the "why" behind the "do" thus enabling them to retain the information and allowing them to experience a greater level of success.
