My name is Clemence. I was valedictorian of my high school in Brooklyn, NY and received a full scholarship to study engineering at Cornell University. When there was an engineering slump, I entered the teaching profession as lead instructor of technical math and physics at Houston Community College for 5 years. My name is Clemence. After raising a family, I wanted to reach and motivate younger minds. I was then required to get Texas State Teacher Certification. In 2008, I became certified as a Texas State Math Teacher (8 to 12). I have taught all levels of high school math. Recently, I have been tutoring all levels of math including statistics and pre-Calculus, chemistry, and physics. My strength lies in taking difficult concepts and making them seem simple and somewhat fun to learn. Math can be viewed as a game/puzzle. My reward is seeing a student's face light up when he/she finally "gets it"
