Hello! My name is Tyra Scott and I will soon be graduating from Sam Houston State University in December 2021 with a Bachelor's in Bilingual Health Care Studies. My current focus is Public Health with a minor in Spanish. I have one year of tutoring experience as well as 4 years of in-classroom experience as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. I have a passion for healthcare, reading, gardening, running half-marathons, and traveling. I have also been serving in the military for 6+ years as a Signal Support Systems Specialist.
I have had wonderful tutors and mentors throughout my experiences, and I would love to contribute that same support and guidance to others. I am patient and adaptable. My teaching style is educating through empowerment. I believe a good teacher is capable of effectively connecting with a diverse selection of students.
