Tutoring and teaching have been my career. I've taught college-level writing and study skills, raised and home-schooled children (one neuro-typical and one not), and launched a private tutoring business overseas. I have worked successfully with students from age 3 to older adult, helping them to grow in their skills in reading, writing, and math. I'm a licensed teacher in Texas with qualifications in English as an additional language and Special Education. I design a program for each individual student addressing their particular areas of difficulty -- always with a strong emphasis on encouragement, creativity, and following the student's cues about when to change tack.
