Hi! I am a Sign Language Interpreter who loves to see people wanting to learn American Sign Language! I know during the process of my own learning I definitely needed and wanted someone to just practice with or correct anything I was doing incorrectly. Practice is an important part of learning American Sign Language. It follows the saying "Use it or lose it". I have interpreted in a variety of states and have a good understanding of different regional signs.
I have lead sign clubs as well as tutored individuals who are wanting to learn ASL. I have a Deaf family member, so the language is very close to my heart. I am excited to see this communication gap get smaller and smaller.
My method of tutoring is to see where you are and go from there. I am willing to work with beginners to advanced. I will use my voice for beginners, however, for advanced it is imperative to do voice-off to insure the signing is accurate. Each client is different and I am flexible to adjust my method to fit your specific needs. I can't wait to meet you!
