I have an Associates in Psychology from Navarro College where I graduated with honors, and I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Aspen University where I received a full academic scholarship. I have extensive years tutoring as both a behavior specialist and as an academic coach with reading and comprehension being my specialty. I approach tutoring and academic success as a team effort and your input is important for your experience to be successful.
More specifically, as your tutor I will be the guide on your journey where I am the map holder (big picture)- I hold the vision of the overall “journey”(agreement/alliance) and together we explore routes (motivation) to get you to your overall destination (preferred narrative) with few off course detours (barriers/limiting beliefs/non serving narrative) while identifying mile markers (accomplishments/rearview mirror review) and historical markers (natural supports and co-authors) to create a strong client led “journey” that resonates with you and increases future success.
