Hola amigos, ¿qué tal? My name is Zach and I am from north Texas. I have been learning Spanish since grade school and recently graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Spanish Language. I plan to continue on to get my PhD in Spanish education as well.
Many Spanish tutors out there like to give you a LOT of vocab and then tell you to go memorize it...well, that's not MY style. In fact, we are going to focus mostly on grammar and pronunciation at the outset. Once you have that down, then we'll slowly add vocab through context (i.e. reading short stories, watching movies, listening to music) to help you understand how the Spanish language functions (believe it or not, Spanish and English are two DIFFERENT languages...¡no manches!).
Over the past four years of my tutoring career, I have taught students ranging from middle schoolers to adults, starting at ground zero to B2 level proficiency and everything in between. I have a comprehensive Google drive folder that contains a treasure trove of documents such as notes organized by topic and corresponding practice worksheets.
Learning a new language can be daunting, but it is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Whether you're learning to impress a significant other, pass a class, or you're moving to Spain, I can help with language acquisition as well as accent reduction.
I look forward to meeting you and going on this journey together! ¡Espero conocerlos pronto! Check out my website for more information :) https://www.spanishwithagringo.com

Guiding me through pronouns had to have been frustrating for him, as they are tough, but did a great job of helping me understand. Progress is being made and he is a great teacher!
Really starting to hit a stride in regard to comfortability with the language and that is all because of Zack and his teaching style of large language.
Continues to make learning Spanish fun and exciting, but challenging all along the way.
Continue to enjoy my lessons with Zach and am beginning the understand the rules behind Spanish and not just try to fall back on the little bit you learn and bad habits you form through life. Shows a lot of patience and is a good teacher.
