I've always had a passion for Science, English, and art. Ultimately I chose science because I have always been an animal-lover and I love the scientific process. For the past 2 years, I have been a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where I teach General Biology labs (college freshman-seniors). In this lab, I teach students the process of science through seven protocol-based experiments. Additionally, I began helping out in the science tutoring program in my department this past semester. My experience doesn't stop at science, however. For a long time I wanted to major in English because I love to write and am somewhat of a grammar stickler. I hope to not only help students in science, but to inspire them to work hard in all academic aspects and create high goals.
I should also mention that I have ADHD (9/9 symptoms all 3 times I was tested!), but I learned in high school how to wean myself off of medication and use special study and note-taking techniques. Through this experience, I realized that everyone learns differently and take different paths to achieve the same goal.
