I have a varied background in education which includes teaching English to second language learners, serving as an intervention teacher with struggling students, teaching all content area in 3-5th grades, teaching English Language Arts at middle school, as well as teaching a high school English class to advanced 8th grade students so they could receive high school credit.
My public school credentials include certifications in elementary education (all subjects), middle grades (English/Language Arts), high school (English Language Arts), ESOL endorsement (to teach 2nd language students), and Gifted Endorsement (certified to teach advanced content to Gifted students). Over the years I've had several tutoring students, and one of the reasons I love tutoring so much is that I enjoy leading individual students from what they currently know and understand to a higher level of understanding.
