Credentialed Teacher with decades of experience teaching and training students of all ages in English Language Arts; ESL, SAT prep, Accent Reduction.
I love sharing knowledge and ideas with others. I’ve been doing it all my life.
My philosophy: students at any age learn better when the information is presented in innovative ways. When I taught ESL to young adults in civil-war era Lebanon, I enabled my students to write short plays and then perform them. My classroom was a safe place where those traumatized students could laugh and enjoy learning English in a relaxed environment.
While doing my MFA at USC’s School of Dramatic and Performing Arts, I taught dramatic analysis to a class of gifted junior acting majors, and literature of the theatre to auditoriums full of arts and science majors.
I've helped Asian-American high school students ace the English and Writing portion of their SAT's. Currently, I'm teaching Asian-American students from third grade to high school improve their vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing skills.
