Hello everyone, my name is Brian. I have my Ph.D. in Biology from Rutgers University. I graduated summa cum lauded with a BS degree from King's College. My major was biology and neuroscience. I am currently a biologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and have taught my own college level courses in genetics and molecular biology.
I have tutored for over 10 years as a private tutor. I had a tutoring position at King's College as an academic tutor and I worked as a tutor in graduate school as well. I was the biology tutor at the Rutgers Women in Science program for 5 years. I have served as a volunteer and invited speaker as part of science outreach at several regional New Jersey High schools.
I love working with students and coming up with creative ways to help them understand complicated topics in science and math. I felt that I always enjoyed the professors and teachers that I had that tried to make science and math more interesting. I will not just regurgitate facts at you. I have a unique and often humorous approach to understanding science and math and I would be happy to share with you.
I have tutored college students, high school students, graduate students, and medical students. If you are having a higher level science problem as part of graduate/medical school I'm ready for the challenge!
