I have a Bachelor’s degree in both History and Philosophy from La Salle University located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Currently I have over 7 years of in class teaching experience. Previous to that I have had 2 to 3 years of experience in educational programs in various museums around Philadelphia, including the Independence Seaport Museum and The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. In the past 4 years not only have I been a schoolteacher, but I have also created a student organization within my school called “Young Reporters” where I have encouraged students to critically report on current events. Furthermore for the past 4 years I have participated in my school’s mentoring program where I have worked one on one with my students to help further achieve their academic goals in a variety of subjects. During my time in university I often spent time tutoring other students in Philosophy, History and the German language. I am fluent in German, and I can read, write, and speak on an intermediate level, Korean. I also dabble in several other languages. I am an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive teacher, who would like nothing more than to help you succeed. I am very skilled at assessing my students and helping them to the next level as proficiently as possible. So whether it is helping with homework, preparing for an up coming test or just wanting a further understanding of a subject I can’t wait to help you feel confident in your abilities.
