I own a cleaning and organizing business with 20+ employees giving me many opportunities each day to use the variety of skills I've learned over the last 35+ years. What kind of variety? Well . . . I worked in the corporate world for my first 19 professional years as a cost accounting analyst, financial analyst, accounting controller, and market research manager (Unisys). The entrepreneurial bug bit during this time so I began a direct selling business (Longaberger) and honed my selling and managerial skills while building an organization of 32 consultants reporting to me. I loved the idea of working for myself so much that I decided to leave the corporate world and focus on building my own business. For several years I did independent consulting work for a large regional bank (Sovereign/Santander Bank) and a regional utilities company (PPL Electric Utilities), but I wanted something I built myself so I stepped away from these gigs and started my cleaning and organizing business 15 years ago. While building my business, I tutored a special needs (Asperger's) junior high student for 2 years and homeschooled my 3 children through junior high and high school. If it sounds like a crazy patchwork of jobs (as well as a lot of work!), it was. But I love teaching and learning so it was a labor of love every step of the way. I'd love to help you discover your potential too!
UPDATE: And I'm still changing and growing! In 2022, I launched my virtual organizing business, Unjumbled (unjumbledhome.com). I specialize in helping individuals and families with de-cluttering, organizing schedules, coaching household members to work together for a common goal, and unjumbling every type of household problem via Zoom. Life is beautiful when it's Unjumbled!
