I'm Han Chen. I graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I have been tutoring for 6 years now and have had great success with my students, ranging from middle school to college-age.
I began tutoring by helping other students in my college classes. I worked as a private math and physics tutor with the Learning Center in College. I help fellow student maintain high GPA's and academic eligibility. Subjects ranged from algebra, geometry, trigonometry, to calculus, and calculus-based physics.
After graduating, I worked as a part-time private tutor to help prepare students for upcoming tests or exams after school. I tutor 9th-12th grade students and college students struggling or failing in Algebra I and II, and Calculus I. I evaluate students learning styles and provide appropriate techniques for maximum understanding and administer prep tests encompassing upcoming material to be included in grade tests. I assist with homework and classroom assignments. I address students' weak areas and develop strategies to improve understanding and self sufficiency. I create sample exams tailored specifically to students. I developed academic strategies to improve student self-sufficiency.
I am free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and anytime for the weekend. In my free time, I am easy to reach and always provide fast response. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the schedules classes.
