My name is Crystal Stone; I'm currently a poet & healthcare worker tutoring in the evenings.
About me: After I finished my BA in 2015, I joined Teach for America and got certified to teach upper elementary school, 7-12 math & 7-12 grade English. I spent two years teaching at the middle school level before accepting a position as a teaching assistant at Iowa State University, where I got my MFA in Creative Writing and Environment. Throughout my time as a composition instructor at Iowa State University, I continued to tutor elementary, middle, and high school math & reading. I've worked with learners at a variety of levels and with disability, specifically dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD and ED. I differentiate my instructor based on my students' individual needs. While my teaching certifications for the state of Mississippi expired this June since I haven't been living there, but I've still been using the math, English, and teaching skills I acquired regularly.
