Hello Students!

My name is Sam Temple and I have been active in the education field for the last ten years as an educator, tutor, researcher, recruiter, and tester. I have a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Sociology and have an MFA in creative writing both of which are from Eastern Oregon University.

I have spent the last 5 years working inside local area prisons aiding incarcerated students in both getting their GED’s and associates degrees through Chemeketa Community College as an instructional Specialist which is a fancy title for being a ‘Jack of all Trades.” Most of my time was spent helping students with their college essays by being a proofreader, editor, and offering differing points of view to encourage deeper and more substantial research and subsequently they wrote better papers.

It is my belief that the ability to critically think and research an issue is one of the most important things young writers need to learn and it is my mission to encourage that mindset in the students that I am lucky enough to help.
