My approach to tutoring has always been to find a way to explain things in plain English. In a fashion that my clients can relate to. Everyone learns slightly differently. My job is to tap into that and adjust my style accordingly.
Once I fully understand where you are now and where you are trying to get to, I can design the required steps to get you there. Classrooms can be very intimidating. One-on-one tutoring can be tailored to your needs. Let's talk so I can help you achieve your goals.
Prior to 1998 I worked as a contract computer technician at a variety of locations. This included HP at their Roseville California campus. Here, I was part of a team supporting engineers, programmers, and administrative personnel. In 1998 I founded a computer support company called Dr. PC. I supported all the computer needs of small businesses, home offices and home users. This included every aspect of repair, network installation, device configuration, software installation, trouble shooting, and tutoring clients.
Tutoring ranged from basic computing skills to Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. Other topics included internet and email usage.
Now retired from full time work, I still enjoy the thrill one gets from seeing the “light go on” when my student grasps a hold of the subject and can proceed forward with their new found knowledge.
I am both A+ and a Microsoft certified technician.
