I earned my Teaching Certificate in Writing (Rhetoric and Composition) from MNSU. Additionally, I hold a Degree in French Literature, and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Writing Fiction. I can improve your writing across the entire range of genres: fiction, narrative, creative non-fiction, rhetoric, multiple types of essays, including research papers at the graduate level. I have extensive experience and training in learning theory based on new information from neurology that allows me to teach students strategies for learning that access how the brain acquires information easily. Although I have been teaching in many areas for years: Feldenkrais, Yoga Nidra, anatomy, French, German, ESL/TOFL, I have been working intensively with students to prepare them for college entrance exams over the last year. This means I can help you with SAT, ACT and with the extra edge you need to place well when your scores are the same as other applicants: a perfect essay demonstrates articulate thinking and native ability that only shows up in writing, not on the multiple choice portion of the test. Colleges know this and will use it as the deciding factor when competition is tough. Good writing skills give you the competitive edge. I can help you get there.
