HI. My name is Josh Cohen. I studied Anthropology and Integrated Systems at Baruch College in New York. I am currently a professional writer, food-garden architect, and installer of simple off-grid power systems. In my formal education and in my life experience outside of school, I have learned that what really matters is learning how to learn. When I began to truly master my personal capacity to absorb and apply information, I gained the understanding and the empowerment that I could learn and engage with anything in which I was interested. This is the true gift of education; helping people gain the power to educate themselves, to be curious, to be unafraid of solving new challenges. Everyone has different ways that they like to learn. I understand how to communicate ideas and concepts so that they can be easily digested and applied. Once we find the best avenues for understanding, then learning becomes empowering. I believe that anyone can learn and excel. The most important piece is to teach according to how the student best receives and understands information. I have over 10 years of experience as a professional tutor, teacher's assistant, and after-school outdoor educator. I truly enjoy helping someone make sense of what's confusing. I am fully versed in reading, writing, history, and science for grades K-12. I am fully versed in math for grades K-10. Ok. Thanks for your time. I'm excited to help you feel confident in your ability to learn
