I graduated two trimesters early from Knox College with a Bachelors of Arts in Literature and significant course experience in upper level psychology and neuroscience. I am attending the Illinois Institute of Technology Law School this fall. I have met with scores of students, writers, and editors to work on writing of all types and test prep as Co-Editor-in-Chief of a student magazine, an intern at a graduate journal, and as a teaching assistant for high school and college writing courses. I encourage genuine curiosity in the subject matter, no matter how daunting. The most important quality I have as a tutor (aside from knowledge of a wide variety of subject matter) is an understanding that learning happens best when we are charmed by the material and focused on learning for its own sake. Otherwise, my approach to test prep is time-tested yet innovative: first, thorough knowledge of the subject, followed by goal oriented drilling.
