I have a bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in History. I am currently in the last year of my Master of International Studies degree at OU. I have spent 6 years studying international studies. To understand modern topics in international affairs and government, one requires knowledge of the history of the regional topic. I have taken courses from a wide range of topics at the master's level, including US foreign policy, language & politics, global Islamophobia, policy analysis & writing, international organizations, international human rights, global cybersecurity, and theory/practice of international politics. At the bachelor's level, I have taken courses concerning China, the European Union, Middle Eastern relations with the US, nations & nationalism, how Italy became a nation, topics from World War II, and the United Nations. For my history minor, I mostly focused on European history, specifically Italian history from roughly the 13th century to the 20th century.
