My educational philosophy is based on the idea that teaching through relationships is key. This approach allows me to embrace the complex identities and stories that students bring with them, which ultimately humanizes the content I teach. My goal is to create a culture in which students understand that they are co-learners who are encouraged to inquire, explore and take risks. My role is to facilitate meaningful discussions, projects and experiences, which will lead students to mastery of the content, but more importantly, will lead to worthwhile lessons that can only be discovered through the process of discovery itself.
