I'm a lifelong educator who comes from a family of educators. Teaching is in my blood! I have taught PK-12 students and have a Master's in Reading/Writing/Language Arts. After beginning my teaching career, I was quickly promoted to a countywide administrator position, teaching teachers how to teach Language Arts to students. Then, I was chosen to work with worldwide educators, including state departments of education and ministries of education, supporting implementation of best teaching practices. Additionally, I was honored to support the White House in their educational endeavors, traveling with Secretary of Education Duncan and meeting with the Department of Education to share ideas on how to move education forward to keep up with our ever-changing world. Throughout my work providing professional development to educators, I continue to tutor and substitute teach in PK-12 classrooms to ensure that my work in the field is valid, to keep my teaching strategies current, and, to keep my finger on the pulse of current issues in today's schools. My students have described me as "inspirational", "fun-loving", and "knowledgable." And, rather than tutoring being seen as a chore, we enjoy our time together. I tailor all of my sessions to my students and never use a one-size-fits-all approach as we are all unique. Please let me know if you'd like to learn more about me. I look forward to meeting you!
