Hello! I am a recent graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Nutritional Biochemistry & Metabolism (cum laude) with minors in Chemistry and Economics. In the past, I have tutored high school students as well as peers at Case and I am looking to gain additional teaching experience before heading off to medical school!
For years, in high school and throughout university, I have been unofficially tutoring peers on topics covered in class. Additionally, I have experience tutoring high school students in a formal setting. As a college student, I was certified to tutor peers as a TA in all of the basic biology/chemistry/economics courses. When I first entered university, I struggled to match the pace and intensity of the courses. Eventually, I developed study techniques that helped me understand concepts and I now know how to help other students succeed with difficult material.
I believe that I would be able to help students by finding out the way they learn best and developing a study plan that best fits their learning style.
My degree in Nutritional Biochemistry & Metabolism focused on the biochemical pathways that are interrelated with health and disease. Currently, I am enrolled as a medical student at the University of Queensland-Ochsner School of Medicine and will start classes this year. I am excited to help other students and open to incorporating any study materials or resources they may have!
