My name is Anna Stern and I am a skilled and experienced English tutor. Before graduating college a semester early, I worked as a writing consultant and tutor for two years at Colorado College. I edited student papers, projects, and theses daily to help students hone their writing skills and create the best possible versions of their academic work. I learned to listen actively and to work collaboratively to help students reinforce their writing strengths and address their weaknesses to create academic writing of which they were proud. My enthusiasm and encouragement inspired them to honor their individual voices while still adhering to the guidelines of assignments. In addition, I underwent 85 hours of training on writing tutoring, which involved extensive lessons on editing, proofreading, and English language mechanics. I am confident my experience, as well as my kind and patient attitude make me an excellent English tutor. I look forward to working with students in this area!
