Hi, I'm Laura. I've been tutoring Math, with an emphasis on the SAT/ACT/PSAT/SSAT for over 14 years. I have tutored students privately and semi-privately, both in person and via Skype. I also co-taught an SAT course for a premier lacrosse league. My strength has always been Math and I excel at standardized tests. My excellent SAT scores earned me a full tuition Trustee Scholarship to Boston University where I graduated in three years as Valedictorian and summa cum laude. I also scored very highly on the LSAT and earned admission to Harvard Law School where I graduated cum laude.
I really enjoy working with my students and helping them achieve their personal best. I emphasize substantive Math review, strategy and timing and am excellent at motivating my students. I've developed my own set of flash cards to review all of the algebra, geometry and trigonometry that's covered on the tests. I teach students great test-taking strategies and have had great success raising my students' scores. I also strive to make my lessons fun and stress-free!
