I'm currently working with a variety of tutoring companies, including Catalyst Prep, Varsity Tutors and C2 Education. I'm not the type of tutor who will explain answers in a boring monotone as my student dozes off. Rather, I take pride in engaging them and (as much as the material allows) making the sessions enjoyable.

I've worked with students across the spectrum of proficiency - from the high-scorer who wants to bring his SAT Reading score from the low to the high 700s to the student who needs to start from scratch with algebra and geometry concepts. I take time to get to know my students' personalities and learning styles so I can figure how to most effectively approach their subject. I also like to employ a Socratic teaching method, using questions to help the student find the answer rather than just telling them. This is in service of my core philosophy: Not only help students learn the nitty gritty of the content but giving them a broader confidence in their academic and analytical ability.
