I offer an inquiry based approach to tutoring with a focus on providing students with multidisciplinary tools for creative and critical thinking. I have a broad range of expertise and knowledge in many areas and extensive experience teaching and tutoring in humanities subjects. I utilize the Stanford University Think Like a Historian curriculum and Visual Thinking Strategies and instruct in literacy improvement. I believe all students can strengthen their critical thinking, reading and writing skills to achieve success in any humanities discipline.
I also offer computer help with basic Microsoft Powerpoint and Keynote presentations (slide creation, inserting URLs, video and animations), resume and cover letter writing and editing, and creating basic excel spreadsheets to track expenses or data. I can also assist in crafting surveys for any evaluation or feedback format.
If you're working on content writing I can offer proofreading and editing skills.
